World Day of Nature pata-negra-ham

The United Nations in the General Assembly decided to proclaim March 3 as International World Nature Day, to sensitize human beings, about its importance of flora and fauna.

And conserve species of fauna more emblematic and threatened, such as rhinos, tigers, mountain gorillas, pandas … As well as innumerable natural areas that are increasingly threatened as the Amazonian, Indonesian jungles, … With this celebration the Convention was reaffirmed International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).

Our dehesas of the Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche, together with the northern sierra of Seville and the Sierra de Hornachuelos, were declared Biosphere Reserves in 2002 by UNESCO.
